Man fatally shot in standoff with police at New Hampshire bed and breakfast

Police in New Hampshire shot and killed a man early Thursday morning after an hours-long standoff at a bed and breakfast.
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said the incident occurred at the Federal House Inn in Plymouth.
Police were initially called to the inn Wednesday afternoon around 2:40 p.m. following reports of a disturbance. Two people with bloody faces were seen leaving the building as officers arrived.
Police then said they heard what they thought were gunshots from a man who had barricaded himself inside the inn while armed with a rifle.
After about 10 hours of attempted negotiations by local and state police, a SWAT team shot the suspect just before 1 a.m. He was found in a doorway on the first floor of the building and pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity has not been not released.
Another person was injured but no other information was given.
“Pursuant to protocol, the names of the six troopers involved are being withheld pending the conclusion of formal interviews,” the attorney general’s office said.
During the standoff, Mountain Village Charter School was briefly put on lockdown. Students were bussed to a second location for parent pick-up, according to WMUR.
